Hummingbird Supports SanVira Brands Acquisition of Trubiotics®

Hummingbird Equity Partners is pleased to announce its partnership and support of SanVira Brands in its acquisition of Trubiotics®.

SanVira recently purchased the Trubiotics brand of probiotics which will be an important part of SanVira’s gut health platform.  Trubiotics was originally developed by the Consumer Health giant, Bayer Healthcare, and combines two of the most clinically studied probiotic strains delivering both digestive health and immune support benefits.

Hummingbird Partner Joe Rhodes worked with SanVira leadership in a prior buildup of consumer health brands called Amerfit Brands while Joe was a partner at the private equity firm Charterhouse Group International.   Amerifit was notable for owning the Culturelle® brand of probiotics which became the #1 brand of probiotics in the US.  Amerifit, which also included the AZO® and Estroven® brands, was later sold to Royal DSM and is now called i-Health.
